Want to know how to make the healthiest, most delicious-est paleo bolognese sauce ever?

Well you’ve come to the right place!

Today we’re making secret sleuth bolognese sauce and we call it this because we’ve secretly hidden a huge amount of vegetables in it.

Today we use 12 tomatoes, 3 onions, 400g pumpkin to make a delicious bolognese meat sauce that kids won’t even know contains vegetables!!!!

Plus Bumi, our cave kid of amazment, dances with his wise Tribal elder from 40,000 years ago. Yep, he sure does. And we celebrate the 4th day birthday of our tribal blanket…hooray!

INGREDIENTS
12 tomatoes roughly chopped
3 onions cut into wedges
3 cloves garlic
400g pumpkin chopped into small chunks
olive oil
salt and pepper
1/4 bunch of basil
1 kg minced beef
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon thyme
1-2 teaspoons chili

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius.
Place vegetables in a roasting pan and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Roast in oven for about 40 minutes.
Put roasted vegetables into a high speed blender with basil and blend for up to 10 seconds, depending how chunky you would like your sauce.
Place a large frypan over the hotplate with a slug of olive oil.
Add the beef mince and brown for up to five minutes.
Add the oregano, thyme and chili.
Stir over heat for 1 minute.
Add your vegetable sauce and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
Serve meat sauce with zoodles…yum, yum pigs bum!
